"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, compassion, some humor, and some style."

Finding your version of pretty hair
It all started with cutting a pony tail off my friend at day care, then instructing her to cut one of my pigtails, which then created one fashion forward bowl cut. Prom hair, box color, and cap highlights kept me busy until I could get into the Cosmetology program my senior year of high school. After quite some time on historic Grand Ave and specializing in cutting for 4 years I rented a chair in Highland Park. 2 years of renting prepared me for the ultimate goal. Opening my private sunny studio in 2013 was my dream come true.
Behind the chair I enjoy working with and multi dimensional color. What does that mean exactly?
Deciding what do to with those new greys? The goal can be to blend it with your blonde, match it to your natural, cover it with easy grow out, or toning it to enhance the coolness and shine. Adding a subtle face framing highlight to your color can do wonders to hide the grey roots. I love foils of multiple shades to create bright blonde. I think red hair will always have my heart, the brighter the better!
A good haircut will change your confidence. Getting frequent haircuts is the secret to healthy hair. Blunt bobs, long hair soft layers, and pixies alike. I love to build volume in the hair and work with a "lived in" textured look. I love my diverse clientele!
In my free time I enjoy the beach anytime Mn weather allows me to. Water of any kind grounds me. I share a home with my cats Princess Velvet and Black Bettie. I love making memories with my nieces & family, I mentor with Big Brother Big Sister, DIY craft projects, heated and Yin yoga. For entertainment my vibe is a patio, local spots, and dive bars with a friend or two. I love live music, especially Hip Hop on Minnesota summer day. I am constantly working on living my life balanced. I love unwinding by getting spa services, good tequila, and laughing with my people until my stomach hurts.
